Peasants, Dragons & Trolls! Medbury’s June Patreon Releases
June 10, 2025 by brennon
Medbury Miniatures expanded both their Historical and Fantasy offering this week over on Patreon for the month of June. We start with the Historical side of things and some new 28mm miniatures for slotting into your Medieval battles.
Medieval Peasants with Spear and Shield // Medbury Miniatures
At the core of the new set of miniatures are the Medieval Peasants with Spear and Shield, which could form a ragtag mob that you've raised from the fields to fight against an invading Baron or opposing power from across the sea. They don't look happy to have been dragged from their fields but at least they've got more than their tools to fight with!
You could also use these Peasants as a band of criminals and bandits who are looking to make a quick bit of coin by ransacking passing traders. Maybe this could end up being something of a "rob from the rich" scenario?
Peasant Cart // Medbury Miniatures
The Peasant Cart would be a great addition to a scenario and comes with plenty of goods which are being transported from town to town. Having some armed Peasants on hand could also be good if you're seeking to protect this cart rather than rob it.

This caps off the Hundred Years' War offerings from Medbury for the month of June. As they are available from Patreon, the initial crop of miniatures are available as 3D printable files but they will then be released in metal as physical miniatures later on down the line, either through Medbury themselves or InfamousJT.
New Fantasy Miniatures
If you'd prefer to go down the Fantasy route, Medbury Miniatures also has some great options for you to choose from. If you're inclined towards the world of Middle-earth, then these miniatures might end up being a nice way to add unique figures to your collection.
Elven King Foot and Mounted // Medbury Miniatures
From deep in the murky woods, you might find yourself standing before the Elven King. He comes with foot and mounted options, which means that you can get your hands on a classic horse or go down the moose route (say that five times fast). He looks surly and commanding as you'd expect.
Bringing wine to the Elven King (or getting drunk on it), you can also get the Elven Courtiers who have been tasked with watching the cellars below.
Elven Courtiers // Medbury Miniatures
Once enough booze has been drunk, it should be easy for a small but noble Halfling to sneak his way down and snatch the keys from that guard (left) before setting his friends free and escaping down the river! A nice set for some scenario-based play in the world of Middle-earth.
Not all amongst the Elves are fiendish and cruel. Others seek to fight the dark forces amassing beyond their lands as is the case with these Elven Rangers.
Elven Rangers // Medbury Miniatures
This pair of companions might find themselves first on the trail of a band of Dwarves but end up embroiled in a much larger conflict that they did not intend. I like the poses for both and they will paint up very nicely.
The shadowy forces at play in the world might find themselves calling on the likes of these Armoured Trolls to hand out some pain and suffering on their behalf. This set comes with three such burly killers who are looking to sow terror and squish Dwarves.

Again, the poses on these figures are great and I particularly like the one who is about to make that poor Dwarf into an empty tube of toothpaste. The other Troll dashing forward (left) is great and is going to be crashing into the enemy like a battering ram!
Last but not least, we have the fearsome Dragon that is going to be burning its way through the lowlands in search of whoever stole its treasure!
Dragon // Medbury Miniatures
This Dragon was originally part of the Beowulf range by Medbury Miniatures during their Kickstarter but it has now been separately released. It is cut up into tail, wings, neck, head and feet and there are options for a solid version and a hollow version with drainage holes hidden in the joints so you don't have to fill them. To give you an idea of scale, this sits on a big 120mm base in the render.
All of these miniatures are available over on Patreon right now but don't forget you can explore the physical miniature ranges by Medbury on their webstore AND over on the InfamousJT website.
