NEW WW2 Fighter Game On The Horizon! Fight The Battle Of Britain With Angels One Six #OTTWeekender
May 16, 2025 by avernos
It's OTTWeekender time! In this week's episode, we've found a NEW World War II wargame that will see you taking to the skies to refight the Battle of Britain! Angels One Six comes from a Battlefront Miniatures and Flames Of War veteran and will let you dive into aerial dogfights with pre-painted and iconic World War II fighters.
Grab your Spitfires, Hurricanes, Messerschmitts and Junkers and get stuck into a World War II wargame where you can play with a single opponent or split into teams and each become responsible for your own aircraft. All this played out in dynamic, 30-minute games that form part of big campaigns.

Save Britain? We tried, you lot didn’t it! *writes more notes on ze list*
“Grab your Spitfires, Hurricqnes, Messerschmits, Heinkels..”
My mind raced back to a Des O’Connor show in which Stan Boardman told a joke about his Dad(?) shooting down that other German fighter the Focke Wulf..
I wonder how many years ago that was
Not sure if that was the original …

ah … but those fockers were Messcherschmidts …
Good Evening, super awesome peeps from here on a 18*c Sunny south coast UK – o7 – Great show guys – looking forward to trying out this new game system of WW2 Fighter game
anvilrage do some good stuff. They have just showed of a wookie sniper hiding inside a tree as a comedy mini
Yay it’s weekender time folk’s 👍😆👍
Good show guy’s 👍
Now my weekend can be spiffing!
Angles One six has a similar feel to Fire in the Sky and Blood Red Skies. Definitely interesting. GF9 Eldar terrain is straight out of Dawn of War,
Angels One Six feels like Blood Red Skies and Fire in the Skies mixed. Looks good. The Eldar terrain from GF9 is straight out of Dawn Of War, love it!
I wonder if they will translate the Saturnine to Imperialis.
The wookiees do look good.
like the kickstarter
The Angels One Six miniatures look great. I’ve tried aerial combat games though and they just can’t hold my attention. Same is true if naval combat games. Not sure why
The Furry Warriors walkers should be called FAT-ASS! 🙃
I bought the starter of Blood Red Skies and painted the minis. Played a few games.
My concern is how expensive the Angels will be prepainted as they look large models.
The Horus Heresy set looks awesome. Have a great weekend.
Games workshop raiding there old designs again. Again the miniatures for there non 40k games are much more interesting.
I’m still not convinced (or I’m past caring) the Saturnine box isn’t GW trolling.
Hopefully Anvilrage won’t be getting a visit from the Imperial Legal Team.
