You can now get your hands on the new World War II British 8th Army Infantry from Victrix Miniatures for your 12mm battles in the deserts of North Africa.
World War II 8th Army British Infantry // Victrix Miniatures
This comes with 164 figures that you can use to represent the British and Commonwealth infantry that would have been fighting during the North African campaign between 1940 and 1943. This set can then be used to lead to the invasion of Sicily and Southern Italy where the Allies were battling against the Italians and the Germans throughout.

The set allows you to build a full infantry company as well as heavy weapons platoons that can provide a bit of covering fire. This set features plenty of Riflemen as well as those armed with submachine guns and also Bren gunners. You also have plenty of anti-tank rifles plus options for those weapon teams including mortars and anti-tank guns. You also have loads of officers to lead the way plus radio operators and mine detectors which would be great for scenario play.

The details are pretty awesome and it is a brilliant set of 12mm scale figures in a variety of poses including those advancing, charging and carrying their weapons in different poses. You can use these miniatures to battle the Afrika Korps which will be coming soon so this desert war can hot up.
Are you going to be picking up this new British Infantry set?

Nice! I was literally just thinking of a Canadians at Hong Kong scenario, which this would be perfect for.
You know, after the US made war on the Japanese at Pearl Harbour by throwing all its ships in front of the bombers. Provoke and find out!
I know you’re joking and what you’re referencing…but the Japanese actually think like this to some degree.
Recently had my wife’s cousin over for dinner. He’s in the US Navy. He was stationed in Japan and visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki. At Hiroshima, there is a memorial timeline of WWII. It shows no Japanese aggression. Pearl Harbor isn’t on the timeline. America suddenly starts invading Japanese territory in 1942. He said most Japanese people he spoke to about WWII were lacking in any meaningful knowledge about Pearl Harbor.
Been to Hiroshima (Sep 2024!); you’re not wrong. Sort of a gloss over of the beginning. I found it weird.
But of course I’m referencing the “Ukraine started it” BS.
Being Canadian of Ukrainian heritage, I just couldn’t resist 😈
My church has been helping a refugee family who got out of Mariupol after the bombing of the maternity ward. The family’s youngest son was born the day before in that ward. Hearing their story and then hearing the BS from this admin is so jarring.
What a bizarre timeline we live in.
I was accepted to go in December and fight, and decided not to, in the end. I have many Canadian friends over there right now. And some who won’t be coming back.
My level of anger is … high.
Nice looking set deserving of praise
The whole range looks great, but as is often said, I already have a bunch of minis and terrain in 15mm scale, so can’t take advantage of these wonderful sculpts. Far more interested in their upcoming 28mm range though!
awesome!
